PICTURE / elementary school students discover the ‘Green Earth’ exhibit

Friday, the children from the elementary school (in the town of Le Tronchet) visited the exhibit ‘Green Earth’, at the Abbey of Notre Dame, followed by a studio workshop on the theme of the Earth.

The artist, Bertille de Baudinière, welcomed the school director, Hugues Gaillard, with his 4th and 5th grade students, as well as Valérie Pannetier, instructor, with her 2nd and 3rd grade students.

The artist explained: “The children looked at and interpreted my paintings, created with earth of different colors according to their place of origin. Then, they created their own vision of our planet by composing different types of earth mixed with casein on a round paper plate. These visions of Earth were made in the image of the planet on which we walk: fragile.”
